Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA) and the host William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA), saw Hopewell's basketball squad wallop William Monroe by a tally of 71-44.

With the victory, Hopewell improves its record to 23-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Skyline (Front Royal, VA) to confront the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 6. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 26-0. Skyline won 66-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA)
