In Friday's non-league contest, the El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Valencia Tigers (Placentia, CA), by a margin of 11-1.

With the triumph, El Modena moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Vanguards host El Dorado (Placentia, CA) to play the Golden Hawks in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 7.
