Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), 5-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Bearcats face the Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 5 challenge, on Wednesday, March 9. Aledo will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 3-2 league loss to Wichita Falls (Wichita Falls, TX).

The Hornets now have a 1-13 record. They take the field next when they host Brewer for a 5A Region 1 District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Azle will face a Bears team coming off a 3-0 league win over Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Bears record now stands at 8-7.
