New Mexico High School Baseball - La Cueva prevails Mayfield
March 4, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87122 La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), 10-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, La Cueva upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Bears travel to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Ravens in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 7. The Ravens come into the test with a record of 2-1. Rio Grande won 16-5 in their recent non-league test against Farmington (Farmington, NM)
With the defeat, Mayfield falls to 4-2 on the season. The Trojans host Valencia (Los Lunas, NM) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league test on Thursday, March 9. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 5-2. Valencia won 28-0 in their recent non-league test against Socorro (Socorro, NM)
