The Port Gibson Blue Waves crushed the host South Pike Eagles baseball team by a count of 28-8 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Blue Waves now possess a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Natchez for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 7. Port Gibson will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.

Next, the Eagles face the Wingfield Falcons (Jackson, MS) in a 4A Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, March 7. South Pike will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Falcons enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 16-15 non-league win over Forest Hill (Jackson, MS).
