South Carolina High School Lacrosse - Hilton Head Island drops to Porter-Gaud

March 4, 2023: Charleston, SC 29407

Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad achieve victory over the visiting Hilton Head Island Seahawks (Hilton Head Island, SC), 14-9 in a non-league test.

The Cyclones now have a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host James Island for a non-league test on Monday, March 6. Porter-Gaud will face a Trojans squad coming off a 17-4 league loss to Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 2-2.

In their next game, the Seahawks face the May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC) in a 4A-1A Lower test, on Thursday, March 9. Hilton Head Island will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Sharks come into the test with a 6-0 record after their 14-3 non-league win over Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC).
