Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Patrick Henry Patriots (San Diego, CA), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Carmel for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 6. Hilltop will battle a Sundevils squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Coronado (Coronado, CA). The Sundevils record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Patrick Henry falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host San Pasqual (Escondido, CA) to battle the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 8. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. San Pasqual won 11-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA)
