Florida High School Softball - Yulee nudges Union County

March 4, 2023: Lake Butler, FL 32054

Yulee Hornets (Yulee, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Union County Fightin' Tigers (Lake Butler, FL), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paxon School For Advanced Studies for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Yulee will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Wolfson (Jacksonville, FL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Union County falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Fightin' tigers travel to Baker County (Glen St. Mary, FL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 7. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Baker County won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against West Nassau (Callahan, FL)
