March 4, 2024: Valdese, NC 28690 The Draughn Wildcats held off the visiting Maiden Blue Devils soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Monday's non-league match.
The Wildcats now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Patton for a non-league match on Thursday, March 7. Draughn will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Maiden drops to 1-2 on the season. The Blue devils host Forestview (Gastonia, NC) to encounter the Jaguars in a non-league match on Thursday, March 7. The Jaguars come into the match with a record of 3-0. Forestview won 5-3 in their recent non-league match against Butler (Matthews, NC)
