March 4, 2025: Franklin, NC 28734 The Franklin Panthers soccer squad scored 9 points and held the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Enka for a non-league bout on Friday, March 7. Franklin will play a Jets squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Jets record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Mitchell moves to 0-2 on the year. The Mountaineers host Madison (Marshall, NC) to play the Patriots in a Western Highlands 1A/2A bout on Monday, March 10. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Madison lost 5-0 in their recent non-league bout against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)
