March 4, 2025: Asheboro, NC 27203 Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, NC), 20-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Asheboro improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Blue Comets host Grimsley (Greensboro, NC) to play the Whirlies in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 12. The Whirlies enter the game with a record of 1-2.
The Bulldogs now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Hills Christian for a non-league game on Friday, March 7. Thomasville will play a Eagles squad coming off a 23-3 non-league loss to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.
