California High School Softball - Bear River bounces Placer
March 4, 2026: Grass Valley, CA 95949 The Bear River Bruins softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Placer Hillmen to 6 in the Bruins non-league win on Wednesday.
The Bruins now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rio Linda for a non-league battle on Friday, March 6. Bear River will confront a Knights team coming off a 10-4 non-league loss to East Union (Manteca, CA). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Placer moves to 3-2 on the season. The Hillmen travel to Franklin (Elk Grove, CA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 6. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Franklin lost 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Inderkum (Sacramento, CA)
