The Bear River Bruins softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Placer Hillmen to 6 in the Bruins non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bruins now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rio Linda for a non-league battle on Friday, March 6. Bear River will confront a Knights team coming off a 10-4 non-league loss to East Union (Manteca, CA). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
