Alabama High School Softball - Gardendale bounces Shelby County
March 5, 2021: Columbiana, AL 35051 Gardendale Rockets (Gardendale, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shelby County Wildcats (Columbiana, AL), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Rockets now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oakman for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 6. Gardendale will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Shelby County falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Talladega (Talladega, AL) to meet the Tigers in a 5A Area 8 match on Monday, March 8. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 0-3. Talladega lost 13-1 in their recent non-league match against Victory Christian (Pell City, AL)
