New Mexico High School Baseball - Gadsden defeats Cobre
March 5, 2022: Bayard, NM 88023 Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM), 17-9 in a non-league test.
With the win, Gadsden improves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO) to clash with the Red-Tailed Hawks in a non-league match on Thursday, March 10. The Red-Tailed Hawks go into the match with a record of 0-0.
The Indians (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Deming (Deming, NM). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Deming was overwhelmed by Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM), 7-3, in a non-league match.
