In Saturday's non-league match, the host Arlington Tigers basketball team scored a tight 49-43 triumph over the Northwest Vikings.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Beech Buccaneers (Hendersonville, TN) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, March 9. Arlington will attempt to move on its 25-4 season record. The Buccaneers enter the match with a 22-12 record after their 39-31 non-league win over Hillsboro (Nashville, TN).

With the defeat, Northwest moves to 22-12 on the year.
