March 5, 2022: DeLand, FL 32724 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL) and the host DeLand Bulldogs (DeLand, FL), saw Matanzas's softball squad achieve victory over DeLand by a count of 11-3.
The Pirates now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to University for a non-league match on Monday, March 28.
With the loss, DeLand falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Melbourne (Melbourne, FL) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, March 5. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 0-0. Melbourne 4-4 in their recent non-league match against Astronaut (Titusville, FL)
