Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their lacrosse team nudge the visiting Truckee North Tahoe Big Blue (Truckee, CA), 12-11 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Spanish Springs advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Galena (Reno, NV) to play the Grizzlies in a HSLL game on Monday, March 10. The Grizzlies come into the game with a record of 1-0. Galena won 15-6 in their recent league game against Douglas (Minden, NV)

The Big Blue now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Damonte Ranch for a HSLL game on Wednesday, March 12.
