Louisiana High School Softball - Barbe bounces St. Edmund
March 5, 2026: Lake Charles, LA 70605 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) and the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA), observed Barbe's softball team prevail over St. Edmund by a tally of 19-9.
The Buccaneers (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Skippers go into the non-league bout with a 6-4 record. In their last bout, Mandeville knocked off Pearl River (Pearl River, LA), 9-6, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Fighting Blue Jays clash with the Glenmora Wildcats (Glenmora, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 6. St. Edmund will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 0-4 record after their 10-2 non-league loss to David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA).
