Texas High School Softball - Cleveland gets by Shepherd
March 6, 2021: Shepherd, TX 77371 The Cleveland Indians got by the host Shepherd Pirates softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Indians (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Panthers go into the 5A Region III District 20 battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Kingwood Park was edged by Alvin (Alvin, TX), 10-8, in a non-league battle.
The Pirates now sport a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hamshire-Fannett for a 4A Region III District 21 battle on Tuesday, March 9. Shepherd will meet a Longhorns squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 7-3.
