The Willow Canyon Wildcats baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Mountain Pointe Pride to 2 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Wildcats (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Higley (Gilbert, AZ). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Higley was overwhelmed by Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ), 10-9, in a non-league challenge.

With the defeat, Mountain Pointe falls to 3-2 on the season. The Pride host Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 7. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Arizona College Prep lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ)
