Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI) and the host Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI), saw Sault Area's basketball squad hold off Escanaba by a tally of 53-49.

With the victory, Sault Area improves its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Negaunee (Negaunee, MI) to confront the Miners in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. The Miners come into the challenge with a record of 22-1. Negaunee won 72-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Kingsford (Kingsford, MI)
