Georgia High School Soccer - McIntosh County Academy held off by Lanier County
March 6, 2024: Darien, GA 31305 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) and the host McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), saw Lanier County's soccer squad get by McIntosh County Academy by a margin of 1-0.
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Worth County for a non-league test on Monday, March 11. Lanier County will meet a Rams squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Rams record now stands at 1-8.
With the loss, McIntosh County Academy drops to 0-5 on the season. The Buccaneers host Echols County (Statenville, GA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, March 8. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 4-3. Echols County won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA)
