Texas High School Softball - Pearland gets by Alvin
March 6, 2024: Alvin, TX 77511 The Pearland Oilers nipped the host Alvin Yellowjackets softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Oilers (17-2) will now prepare for their battle against Dawson (Pearland, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region III District 23 battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Dawson held off Porter (Porter, TX), 11-0, in a non-league battle.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Shadow Creek for a 6A Region III District 23 battle on Friday, March 8. Alvin will confront a Sharks squad coming off a 18-1 league win over Alief Elsik (Houston, TX). The Sharks record now stands at 4-13.
