Louisiana High School Softball - Zachary knocked off by Catholic of Pointe Coupee
March 6, 2024: Zachary, LA 70791 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) softball team overwhelmed the host Zachary Broncos (Zachary, LA), by a margin of 16-2.
With the triumph, Catholic of Pointe Coupee moves its record to 10-4 on the year. The Hornets travel to Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA) to play the Crusaders in a 1A District 6 contest on Thursday, March 7. The Crusaders come into the contest with a record of 4-2. Westminster Academy won 11-9 in their recent non-league contest against Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA)
In their next game, the Broncos play the Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 8. Zachary will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Skippers come into the contest with a 9-3 record after their 7-0 league win over Covington (Covington, LA).
