North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), 7-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, North Stanly advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Comets travel to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to battle the Blue Comets in a non-league match on Friday, March 7. The Blue Comets come into the match with a record of 2-2. Asheboro lost 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Randleman (Randleman, NC)

The Mustangs now have a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carson for a South Piedmont 3A match on Friday, March 7. East Rowan will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-3.
