The San Tan Charter Roadrunners (Gilbert, AZ) baseball trounced the visiting Madison Highland Prep Heat (Phoenix, AZ), 9-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Roadrunners now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host St. John Paul II Catholic for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 18.

With the defeat, Madison Highland Prep drops to 1-1 on the year. The Heat host Scottsdale Preparatory Academy (Scottsdale, AZ) to clash with the Spartans in a 2A Central challenge on Wednesday, March 19. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 1-2.
