In Thursday's non-league bout, the Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ) baseball squad routed the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), by a margin of 25-1.

The Coyotes now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arcadia for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 18.

With the defeat, Desert Edge drops to 0-1 on the year. The Scorpions host Canyon View (Waddell, AZ) to play the Jaguars in a test on Tuesday, April 1. The Jaguars go into the test with a record of 2-0.
