March 6, 2025: Independence, MS 38618 The Independence Wildcats got by the visiting Strayhorn Mustangs softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats meet the Water Valley Blue Devils (Water Valley, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 21. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Charleston (Charleston, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Charleston was nudged by Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS), 19-5, in a non-league challenge.
