The Liberty Christian Academy Heat softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Lejeune Devil Pups to 2 in the Heat non-league win on Thursday.

The Heat now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arendell Parrott Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, March 7. Liberty Christian Academy will confront a Patriots team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Lejeune moves to 3-1 on the season. The Devil pups host Lakewood (Roseboro, NC) to confront the Leopards in a non-league battle on Friday, March 7.
