In Friday's non-league bout, the Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ), by a tally of 13-3.

Next up, the Pioneers encounter the Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 9. Pinnacle will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record.

The Mountain Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Higley (Gilbert, AZ). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Higley gained a win over Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ), 15-5, in a non-league challenge.
