March 7, 2022: Mint Hill, NC 28227 The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) and the visiting West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC), saw Rocky River's softball squad achieve victory over West Mecklenburg by a count of 19-2.
The Ravens now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Mecklenburg for a Southwestern 4A match on Tuesday, March 8. Rocky River will face a Eagles squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-0.
With the loss, West Mecklenburg falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Chambers (Charlotte, NC) to face the Cougars in a Queen City 3A/4A match on Tuesday, March 8. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 0-0.
