Minden Crimson Tide (Minden, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Loyola College Prep Flyers (Shreveport, LA), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Minden upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Crimson Tide host Quitman (Quitman, LA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league contest on Monday, March 11. The Wolverines enter the contest with a record of 7-1. Quitman won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Claiborne Christian (West Monroe, LA)

The Flyers now sport a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Doyline for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 9. Loyola College Prep will play a Panthers squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Cedar Creek (Ruston, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-3.
