Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sitka Wolves (Sitka, AK), 55-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Houston upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Friday, March 8. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 20-3. Mt. Edgecumbe won 69-17 in their recent non-league bout against Redington (Wasilla, AK)
