Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC), 16-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Guilford for a Metro 4A challenge on Friday, March 8. Southwest Guilford will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Hornets record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Cornerstone Charter falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Piedmont Classical (Browns Summit, NC) to battle the Bobcats in a Central Carolina - East challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Piedmont Classical lost 18-0 in their recent league challenge against Bethany (Summerfield, NC)
