March 7, 2025: Baxley, GA 31513 Ware County Gators (Waycross, GA) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), 8-3 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Ware County moves its record to 11-1 on the season. The Gators host New Hampstead (Savannah, GA) to confront the Phoenix in a AAAA Region 1 match on Tuesday, March 11. The Phoenix come into the match with a record of 5-1. New Hampstead lost 16-1 in their recent non-league match against Jenkins (Savannah, GA)
The Pirates now possess a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cook for a AA Region 3 match on Tuesday, March 11. Appling County will confront a Hornets squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 9-3.
