In Friday's non-league contest, the host St. Anthony's Friars basketball team scored a close 58-54 triumph over the Canisius Crusaders.

The Friars (24-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. John's Prep (Astoria, NY). The Red Storm go into the non-league contest with a 23-3 record. In their last contest, St. John's Prep nipped St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY), 46-43, in a non-league contest.
