Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) followers left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC), 7-3 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Cherryville moves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Ironmen host East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC) to battle the Warriors in a match on Tuesday, March 18. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 1-2.

The Mountaineers now possess a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashbrook for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 11.
