March 7, 2025: San Francisco, CA 94115 Cardinal Newman Cardinals (Santa Rosa, CA) backers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the host University Red Devils (San Francisco, CA), 6-5 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Cardinal Newman improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Cardinals host Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 12. The Crusaders come into the game with a record of 1-2. The Red Devils now have a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saint Francis for a non-league game on Monday, March 10. University will play a Lancers team coming off a 10-8 non-league loss to Whitney (Rocklin, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 0-1.
