In Friday's non-league test, the Bear Grass Charter Bears (Williamston, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the host Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), by a count of 20-9.

Next, the Bears meet the Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 10. Bear Grass Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record.

The Aces (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Redskins go into the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Manteo toppled Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC), 16-0, in a league test.
