Hug Hawks (Reno, NV) fans went home thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the visiting Mineral County Serpents (Hawthorne, NV), 13-7 in a non-league test.

The Hawks now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Portola for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 10. Hug will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 24-0 non-league loss to Durham (Durham, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-3.

The Serpents (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lone Pine (Lone Pine, CA). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, Lone Pine was overwhelmed by Mammoth (Mammoth Lakes, CA), 10-6, in a non-league test.
