The Ripon Indians got by the host Merced Bears softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Linden Lions (Linden, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 10. Ripon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Argonaut (Jackson, CA).

With the loss, Merced moves to 4-1 on the campaign. The Bears host Central Valley (Ceres, CA) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 10.
