March 8, 2022: Charlottesville, VA 22902 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) and the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), saw Monticello's soccer squad knock off Rockbridge County by a margin of 5-3.
The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Culpeper County for a non-league outing on Thursday, March 10. Monticello will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Fauquier (Warrenton, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, March 11. Rockbridge County will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
