In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting West Iredell Warriors baseball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Starmount Rams.

The Warriors (4-1) will now prepare for their game against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians go into the Western Foothills 3A game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, St. Stephens was edged by West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 10-2, in a non-league game.
