Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), 6-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Ashe County upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Huskies host Elkin (Elkin, NC) to battle the Buckin' Elks in a non-league test on Monday, March 13. The Buckin' Elks come into the test with a record of 1-1. Elkin won 11-4 in their recent non-league test against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC)

With the defeat, East Wilkes falls to 2-1 on the season. The Cardinals host North Wilkes (Hays, NC) to battle the Vikings in a non-league test on Friday, March 10.
