Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) and the visiting Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC), saw Pinecrest's baseball squad knock off Myers Park by a count of 4-1.

Coming up next, the Patriots encounter the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A contest, on Tuesday, March 12. Pinecrest will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Raiders come into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 8-2 league loss to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC).

The Mustangs now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Palisades for a So Meck 4A contest on Tuesday, March 12.
