Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) followers left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Edna Cowboys (Edna, TX), 5-3 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Taft moves its record to 1-5 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX) to battle the Longhorns in a non-league match on Monday, March 10. The Longhorns come into the match with a record of 8-5. Hebbronville lost 9-8 in their recent non-league match against Bracken Christian (Bulverde, TX)

The Cowboys now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Industrial for a 3A Region IV District 25 match on Tuesday, March 11. Edna will battle a Cobras squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Lamar Consolidated (Rosenberg, TX). The Cobras record now stands at 7-0.
