The Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) basketball were winner over the host Mergenthaler Vo-Tech Mustangs (Baltimore, MD), 74-62 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 24-2 record. They play next when they travel to Meade for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 11. Laurel will play a Mustangs team coming off a 72-49 non-league win over Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 23-3.

With the loss, Mergenthaler Vo-Tech falls to 17-12 on the campaign.
