In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cathedral City Lions volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Corona Panthers.

The Lions (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Winchester, CA). The Bison come into the non-league challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Liberty was nudged by Yucaipa (Yucaipa, CA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Beaumont Cougars (Beaumont, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 8. Corona will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Murrieta Mesa (Murrieta, CA).
