March 8, 2025: Waco, TX 76705 Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), 3-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Mexia moves its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Black Cats host La Vega (Waco, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a 4A Region 3 District 23 test on Tuesday, March 11. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 17-1. La Vega 1-1 in their recent league test against Lorena (Lorena, TX)
The Cadets now sport a 5-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hearne for a 4A Region 3 District 23 test on Monday, March 10. Connally will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 league loss to China Spring (China Spring, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-13.
