The Alameda Hornets triumphed over the visiting Newark Memorial Cougars softball squad by a count of 9-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the San Rafael Bulldogs (San Rafael, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 11. Alameda will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Monte Vista (Danville, CA).

The Cougars (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Hayward (Hayward, CA). The Farmers enter the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
